Biomap’s temperature mapping service is a tailored solution designed for a wide range of storage and transportation environments. Regulation requires that you are able to demonstrate products are being stored in a suitable environment through reporting of the mapping process as well as actions based upon the findings. For example, permanent monitoring probes should be located in areas that experience the extremes of fluctuations and exercises should be repeated according to the results of a risk assessment (or whenever significant changes are made to the environment that may impact on temperature control or performance).

Our service gives you the peace of mind that the project is carried out to the required standards and results in an independent document that supports your regulatory requirements, detailing the temperature (and humidity if required) performance of the monitored environment.

Spaces we map (including but not limited to):

  • Warehouses
  • Cold stores
  • Fridges
  • Freezers
  • Containers
  • Vehicles
  • Stability chambers
  • Incubators
  • Laboratories

Personal Service

Biomap understands that each case requires a different solution. We focus on regulations but ensure that we take into account your individual requirements, no matter how much support you need: from logger hire through to a full support service that can include logger engineer support for installation & collection.

Reports

We know that, although mapping is a necessary process and a regulatory requirement, you want the work to be carried out with little impact to your daily operation. Efficiently and with minimal disruption, we analyse your chosen space or asset thoroughly providing a full report including:

  • Minimum, maximum and average temperatures
  • Mean Kinetic Temperature (MKT), if required
  • Recorded range
  • Schematics
  • Floor plans
  • Calibration certification
  • Recommendations for continuous monitoring
  • Excursion analysis
  • Summary and events
  • Tabular data

Our detailed analysis will highlight any risk areas (hot or cold spots) such as near doors, roller shutters and heater outlets etc that can leave your products vulnerable. Reported data is used to make qualified decisions regarding permanently placed continuous monitoring probes (CMPs) which will provide permanent monitoring of ‘at risk’ areas.

Ongoing mapping requirements should then be regularly reviewed as part of a risk assessment exercise taking into account factors such as seasonal extremes and changes to the tested environment that may have an impact on overall temperature performance.

Benefits

The final document will provide evidence of the suitability of the facility (or highlight issues that may need addressing) and demonstrate your commitment to ensuring the safety and compliance of your product storage and transportation environments. Without mapping you could be putting both products and regulatory compliance at risk.

Biomap has developed its temperature mapping services in consideration of regulatory guidelines from the EU, MHRA, HPRA, FDA and USP. We provide a cost effective service with incentives available for multi project contracts as well as offering Technical & Commercial Agreements.
